Daniel Libman completed his Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Specialization in political science at the University of Western Ontario in 2008. In 2012, He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Windsor. Prior to joining Damien R. Frost & Associates, he worked for the criminal law policy branch for the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario and Windsor’s Legal Aid Clinic. Daniel worked as a summer student in 2011, and an articled student in 2012 for Lockyer Campbell Posner.

Specializing in criminal and regulatory law, Daniel has experience with trials and appeals, and he maintains a diverse practice from serious criminal offences to professional discipline. He also has experience in litigation under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Provincial Offences Act. Daniel has worked on a number of cases that have resulted in the exclusion of evidence and the charges being withdrawn. He has a track record of success defending insurance fraud cases by protecting his clients from criminal charges or from losing their job. He has also successfully defended health care professionals by fighting to keep their practice and licence in good standing before their College’s disciplinary panel.

With legal articles published in the Criminal Reports and RegQuest Reports, Daniel has written on current criminal and regulatory matters. His latest articles have focused on protecting clients against adverse inferences from exercising their right to silence at trial (96 C.R. (6th) 83), and Charter rights in white-collar crime cases.
Daniel assists Mr. Frost in all matters and also carries his own cases. He is devoted to providing exhaustive but cost-effective professional representation. Daniel has learned from experience that there are no secrets to success. It requires tireless preparation, understanding the needs of each client, and a passion for a continuing education of the law.

Daniel is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Advocates’ Society, the Friends of Algonquin Park and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Daniel is an avid canoe tripper and enjoys hockey, baseball, and martial arts. He also enjoys travelling and is learning to speak German and French.
