Melissa articled at Damien Frost & Associates LLP and joined the firm as an associate after being called to the bar in 2022.
Melissa has drafted submissions to the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC), and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board (HPARB). Melissa has also defended professionals facing allegations in front of Discipline Committees.
Melissa has successfully assisted clients through insurance fraud investigations and other white-collar criminal matters.
Melissa received her J.D. degree from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she graduated from the Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in political science.
At law school, Melissa was a member of the Tenant Division of the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, where she assisted clients with residential tenancy matters. Melissa was also a member of the University of Ottawa Employment Insurance Litigation Clinic, where she assisted clients seeking to appeal decisions at the Social Security Tribunal.
